CleanShotHQ LLC ("CleanShot HQ", "we", "us", or "our") is a New Jersey limited liability company that provides road intelligence software for professional truck drivers. Our website is cleanshothq.com and our software product is CleanShot.

2. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the CleanShot service:
- Email address — used to create your account, send your license key, and provide support
- Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe, Inc. We never see or store your credit card number. We receive only the last 4 digits and expiration date for billing verification
- License key — generated by us and sent to you to activate the CleanShot software
- Name — optional, used only to personalize your welcome email
- Usage statistics — number of queries made, hazard alerts received, and app sessions. Used to calculate your savings dashboard. Never sold or shared
- Download logs — date/time of software downloads and a one-way hashed IP address (cannot be reversed to identify you). Used only to count downloads for Microsoft SmartScreen reputation building
3. What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not track your physical location or GPS coordinates
- We do not collect your routes, destinations, or driving history
- We do not collect your vehicle information, license plate, or DOT number
- We do not use browser cookies for tracking or advertising
- We do not use third-party advertising networks
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, ever
4. How We Use Your Information
- To deliver the CleanShot service and send you software updates
- To send your license key and account information
- To process your subscription payment through Stripe
- To provide customer support
- To calculate and display your savings dashboard (data saved, hazards avoided)
- To manage your referral program discount
- To improve the CleanShot software based on aggregate (never individual) usage patterns
5. Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database hosted in the United States. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Our API is hosted on Cloudflare Workers with no persistent server logs of your personal activity.
We use industry-standard security practices. However, no system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at [email protected].
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:
- Stripe (stripe.com/privacy) — payment processing. Your payment information goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers
- Cloudflare (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy) — website hosting, API, and file delivery
- road511.com — DOT/511 road condition data provider. We send only your queried state/route, never your identity
- GitHub (github.com/privacy) — open-source code hosting for the CleanShot repository
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other advertising or behavioral tracking tools.
7. No Ads — Ever
CleanShot HQ is 100% subscription-funded. We will never show advertisements, sponsored content, or promoted data in CleanShot or on cleanshothq.com. We will never sell your data to advertisers. This is a founding commitment of CleanShotHQ LLC.
8. Data Retention
- Active accounts: your data is retained for as long as your subscription is active
- Cancelled accounts: we retain your email and license key for 90 days after cancellation in case you resubscribe, then permanently delete them
- Usage statistics: retained for 12 months then automatically deleted
- Download logs: retained for 90 days then automatically deleted
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Deletion — request permanent deletion of all your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to how we use your data

10. Children's Privacy
CleanShot is designed for professional commercial truck drivers who are adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
